Chain pipe wrench with a pivoted pair of "V" shaped gripping jaws. The chain attaches to the handle "ahead" of the pivot for the jaws, and latches into notches in one "arm" of the "V." Corresponding Canadian patent CA-98,249 granted March 27, 1906 includes assignment to the Roemer Pipe Tong Co. of Santa Maria, CA.
