Description: |
Pliers type tool with thin spreader jaws having a "lip" at the tips, and with notches on the outside of the handles that cooperate with a sliding wire loop to hold the jaws spread against pressure. These were designed as tire repair tools, to hold cuts open for cleaning and insertion of uncured repair rubber which was subsequently vulcanized.
For comparison, see the GILMER tire repair pliers based on patents nos. 1,017,093 and 1,074,113. |
