Jeff Joslin Vintage Machinery entry for Bryant Chucking Grinder Co.
|
Description: |
This patent is the genesis of the Bryant Chucking Grinder Co. The inventor had been working at Jones & Lamson Machine Co. when he conceived and designed a multi-spindle grinder for second-operation work, i.e., for precisely finishing surfaces that had been turned to rough dimension on a metal lathe. Bryant Chucking Grinder Co. was established at about the time the patent was issued and was located right across the road from Jones & Lamson."The object of the invention is to provide a machine for grinding and finishing turned work and for forming thereon external or internal tapers or shoulders as the character of the work may require." |
