        Description: |
| Parallel jaw pliers of the "BERNARD" type, with specialized jaw tips for tying and cutting threads in cotton mills, and a wire loop in one handle end to enable the operator to keep the tool readily available.
The specifications note the concept comes from North Carolina; W. P. Thompson was a British patent agent.
Note: Early English patents (pre 1916) were numbered by the year and started at patent #1 at the start of each year in January. The patent # used in DATAMP represents the year of registration and the patent # (with "leading zeros" interposed to make the number total nine digits). This patent is #28,802 of the year 1902. |
