Description: |
The patent encompasses a washer with spiral "wedges" and outside diameter larger than the nut, a nut with corresponding tapering grooves, the die to form the shapes, and a wrench with auxiliary gripping lever to hold the washer when removing the nut.
One intended use was bolts holding railroad "fish plates" connecting sections of rail. The patent notes prior art as represented in patent no. 135,052. |
