Description: |
Adjustable jaw socket on an extended shank. The patent presents a version with paired adjustable jaws with rack teeth moved by a single right- and left-hand threaded adjusting worm. The end of the shank is shaped to fit a brace, or removable "T" handle.
A known McDANIEL adjustable socket wrench similar to this patent has a single adjustable jaw operated by a worm and rack adjustment, as shown in McDaniel's further refinement of the concept as a "Duplex Wrench" (patent no. 1,246,447 -- see 2nd image in that entry). |
