Description: |
The internal reservoir is divided into compartments surrounding a central tube. Passages between the outer compartments and central tube have sliding ball valves, such that the central portion will be fed by a compartment "above" the tube when tool is in a horizonal position. A spring loaded plunger valve has an extension through the delivery spout. Pushing the spout against a surface to be oiled opens the internal valve, and allows oil to flow.
This oiler is described as fitting on the handle of a wrench, with or without the divided compartment provision.
A known example set up as a carriage axle nut wrench (as shown in Fig. 3 of the drawings) is marked only with the patent date. |
