Description: |
The volute curves of both jaws combine to provide both compression and partial rotation to crack a nut shell. A spring acts to open the jaws.
Known example is laid out with open jaws like a pliers. It is marked "U.S. PALMER CLEVELAND" with the patent date and is made of ornately decorated malleable iron. |
