| This patent was applied for after Eames left the company he co-founded. The agreement him gave ownership of any improvements to patent 1,038,543 to his old company, and Eames accordingly assigned the patent to them. Eames did not do so for a later improvement, patent 1,201,162, and Atlas Press successfully sued him for ownership of that patent, which Eames had started manufacturing.This patent covers an improved table mechanism whose work-support is raised and whose opening can be adjusted in size. |
