Description: |
"This invention proposes the construction of a clamp wrench characterized by a stationary jaw fixed to a shank and a movable jaw slidably mounted on the shank with means on the shank for moving the movable jaw towards the fixed jaw in a manner to initially grip a member disposed between the jaws and which is to be turned by the wrench. Still further it is proposed to construct the wrench in such a manner that manual pressure may be applied to the movable jaw for moving it still further towards the fixed jaw, causing the jaws to more tightly grip in the event the wrench slips.."
A CLAMP WRENCH produced at Ridgefield, NJ and advertised in 1950 may be a realization of this patent. |
