Description: |
Nippers or side cutter pliers, with each handle having a separate pivot point. The handles cross each other behind the pivot points and they have meshing "gear" teeth to keep synchronized. They are held by side plates.
The BERNARD'S VULCAN pliers produced in accord with this patent include a third rivet connecting the side plates. The handles have slots to pass this rivet; it also acts as a limit stop for the jaw opening.
