Jeff Joslin Vintage Machinery entry for Conradson Machine Tool Co.
        Description: |
| The inventor had been working for Gisholt Machine Co., designing their heavy-duty turret lathes. According to the book, "Madison, a History of the Formative Years, 2nd ed.", after the first version of the lathe was in production, Conradson lost interest and began spending his time on his own projects; the company owner, John A. Johnson, was forced to fire him, which happened very roughly at the time of this patent. In 1917 Conradson would established the short-lived Conradson Machine Tool Co., makers of milling machines, lathes, planers, and radial drilling machines. |
