Description: |
Quick adjust wrench with nut jaws on one side, and pipe gripping jaws with a nail claw feature on the other side. The jaws close by the pressure of a compression spring, and are held open by a spring-loaded pawl that engages rack teeth on the shank of the movable jaw.
The wrench produced on the basis of this patent is a nut wrench -- commonly attributed to King & Hough of Lee's Summit, MO.
Corresponding U.S. patent 430,656 was granted June 24, 1890. |
