Description: |
Enhancement to the form in patent no. 1,862,793, resulting in the form appearing as the K-D no. 380 valve spring compressor. This patent focuses on the rack and pinion adjustment for the upper portion of the lifter. As a result of the modifications in this patent, the frame can be operated by using the "over center lock" lever to compress a valve spring, or the "over center lock" can be left in the locked position, and the spring compressed by action of the rack and pinion.
Harry W. Kulp and Martin C. Dellinger were the founders of K-D Mfg. Co. of Lancaster, PA. |
