Description: |
"Over-center lock lever" with a cam stop is the activating component of a "C" frame valve spring compressor. The stop prevents the handle pinching the operator's hand. Several adjustment means are suggested to adapt the tool to different styles and sizes of engines and valve layouts. Models conforming to this patent may be marked No. 385, and have the patent number.
This design evolved in patent no. 1,913,084 to the form in the K-D Tools 380 valve spring compressor for overhead valve & "L-Head" engines.
Harry W. Kulp and Martin C. Dellinger were the founders of KD Mfg. Co. of Lancaster, PA. |
