Description:
The patent combines "slip joint" adjustment of a fulcrum and cam engagement with a movable jaw as embodied in a "self-adjusting open end wrench" or "cam-lever plier wrench."

The ALLAN PLIER WRENCH described in a March 1, 1920 write-up matches this patent.

1920 write-ups for the Allan-Deffenbaugh Automatic Track Wrench and Allan-Diffenbaugh Wrench show a cam-adjusting self-adjust wrench similar to the "self-adjusting open end wrench" aspect of this design -- the major differences for the open end wrench being a single fulcrum point rather than a slip-joint, and a single handle.

Allan's previous patent 1,198,309 appears to have been a predecessor to the self-adjusting aspect of this wrench.
