| Unique adjusting means using rollers in a looped channel. A lug on the main shank is the "fixed stop" and a toggle on the movable jaw provides an intermittent stop to hold the adjustment.
Converse's April 25, 1899 patent no. 623,946 has a similar movable jaw with a different quick adjustment means. |
