Description: |
Two pinion gears in the movable jaw frame provide the adjustment means. One pinion is fastened in the frame and engages rack teeth on the main shank. The second pinion is on a pivoted secondary frame. It meshes with the first pinion and can engage or disengage from the rack teeth on the main shank. When it is engaged with both the rack teeth and the first pinion, the movable jaw's position is "set." The end of the secondary frame slides over a spring, so that the second pinion's position in relation to the rack teeth can be maintained. |
