Description: |
The ratchet head attaches to the handle by a metal ring. The reversible ratchet mechanism consists of two sets of teeth which face in opposite directions, paired spring loaded pawls in the handle which match the ratchet teeth, and a sliding selector bolt which retracts one or the other of the pawls.
The adjustable jaws within the ratchet head are moved by a sliding motion of tapered dogs within the central eliptical bore.
The whole thing looks complicated, fragile and entirely impractical. |
