        Description: |
| An improvement on Lutz's previous Compression Wrench design which received patent no. 1,054,700. In the improvement, the parts are simplified and made more robust, the retaining spring is replaced with a pivoted latch, and the adjustable fulcrum shoe feature is eliminated.
The wrench was supplied as alternative to a ratchet handle in a drill post equipment produced by the Lutz-Webster Engineering Co. The company also advertised a lathe dog employing this principle. Both the wrench and lathe dog could be fitted with a range of girth sizes. |
