Description: |
| Quick adjust with a steep-pitch screw. The adjusting nut has a serrated face on the surface facing the jaw, that engages with a serrated face in the movable jaw structure to hold adjustment.
Ken Cope's "American Wrench Makers 1830-1930" assumes Woodbury produced the wrench. A nominal 6 inch nut wrench example includes a hole in the movable jaw frame to oil the threads. The fixed jaw on that example appears to be threaded & pinned to the shank, suggesting that the parts were all machined. |
