Description: |
The ratchet wheel has "V" shaped notches which are engaged by one of two ratchet pawls -- the opposite pawl being swung back along the handle. The clamping jaw and "nut runner" handle attach to the ratchet head with thumb screws.
The "nut runner" handle can be set to attach solidly to the ratchet wheel, or "free rotate."
The clamping jaw can be adjusted to a fixed open size by two thumb screws, or clamped firmly to a work piece or drill bit tang.
An unmarked ratchet visually matching all the features of this patent has been noted, so it is possible this was put into production. |
