Description:
The swinging movable jaws swing independently from a common pivot so they can be used individually or in combination.

Corresponding Canadian patent no. CA-44,591 was issued October 28, 1893, and British patent GB-189309599 was registered May 13, 1893.

A known example has "SMITH PIPE WRENCH" and the patent date on opposite sides of the malleable handle, and the patent date on a swinging jaw segment.
