1. The herein described method of making a socket wrench which consists in providing a blank of a body with a circular opening, bending one part of the body on one side of said opening laterally out of line with the part on the diametrically opposite side of said opening, forming a pocket in said body opposite the laterally bent part thereof so that the pocket extends radially outward from said opening and is arranged in a plane extending over the laterally bent part of said body, and returning the laterally bent part of said body to its normal position in line with the part containing said pocket.
2. The herein described method of making a socket wrench which consists in providing the blank of a body with a circular opening, bending one part of the body on one side of said opening, laterally out of line with the part on the diametrically opposite side of said opening, forming a pocket in said body opposite the laterally bent part thereof so that the pocket extends radially outward from said opening and is arranged in a plane extending over the laterally bent part of said body, returning the laterally bent part of said body to its normal position in line with the part containing said pocket, inserting a spring loaded pawl in said pocket, and journalling in said opening a jaw having an annular row of teeth, which are engaged by said pawl.
