Description: |
"The nature of my invention relates to the means employed for propelling the auger while boring the hole, and the devices for withdrawing it from the timber when the hole is bored. What I claim as my improvement, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is—The special arrangement of the lever K, sliding frame D, rack-lever M, and intermediate gear-wheels, operating substantially as and for the purpose specified, by which means the auger is caused to bore the mortise and is also raised up out of the hole after being bored." |
