        Description: |
| This is a cam-activated vise. When the handle is raised, the movable jaw can be slid against the work piece. When the handle is lowered, the movable jaw tightens and a cam-over action holds the handle down. The inventor, J. J. Spilker, is much better known as a maker of a miter chopper that was popular with picture framers. |
