Description: |
The wrench is a "crow-foot" open end wrench with extended sides. The reinforcing member keeps the sides from spreading when it is used as a socket wrench for high-torque applications like head bolts. The reinforcing member can be removed to allow the wrench to slip onto tubing fittings and the like, and then replaced to prevent the sides from spreading.
The specifications note U.S. patent nos. 216,690, 794,592, 1,575,474, 2,628,522, and 2,655,827 and three European patents as prior art.
The patent is assigned to the United States of America for military use.
