Description: |
Rollers and tapered surfaces provide the frictional engagement. Internal plungers in the head determine which direction of rotation will "bind" the rollers, head and frame. A shifting sleeve moves the rollers in relation to the internal plungers to reverse the direction of the binding action.
Improved by patent no. 2,003,155. These patents were used in the Blackhawk Free Wheel Ratchet. |
