Description: |
The tool combines pliers, wire-cutters, screwdriver, and multiple wrench sizes. Advertised in fall 1889 issue of THE HUB.
The swing-out set of wrenches attached to one handle is notable, as wrench sets of this sort, with various types of clamping mechanisms to allow one wrench to be selected and extended without removing it from the bundle, came into prominence about 20 years after this patent. Examples of such sets include patent nos. 942,993, 993,642, and 995,837. |
