Description: |
The patent describes a tongs, or shears, with cork-gripping surfaces on the inner faces of the handles. The teeth are shaped as pairs of truncated pyramids so they will grip rather than tear the corks. The shears or nipper jaws are to cut the wire or cords holding the corks in place.
An unmarked 5.7 inch nipper/gripper identical to the patent drawing is known. |
