Description: |
| A ratchet wrench which "reverses" by pushing the square stud from one side to the other. The ratchet mechanism is enclosed in the case. Along side the interior ratchet head is a rotating plate which is connected to the ratchet head by a pawl. The plate is attached to a pull cord with return spring which will turn the ratchet head and socket one half rotation with each full pull of the cord.
Nearly a decade after this patent, Merriman's patents no. 2,290,197 and 2,292,391 show considerable evolution of the idea. |
