Description: |
A pivoting pawl allows ratchet movement in one direction. The effect is be able to move the handle twice for each positioning of the open end wrench.
The pivot pin can be removed to allow for different sizes of open ended heads; one handle was used with a set of interchangeable heads. Known examples marked CRANDALL EXPERT PAT APL'D FOR. Compare to the STEPHENS WRENCH (pat. no. 943,757) which is another approach to the same idea. |
