Description: |
The patent's chief novelty is the adjustment means. The side members of the handle have interior wedge teeth which are squeezed against matching wedge teeth on the shank of the movable jaw to hold the adjustment. The wrench is shown with jaw pairs to hold nuts and pipe.
This thing would have easily peeled the hide off the palms of unsuspecting users.
The description and drawing for corresponding Canadian patent no. CA-46,266 and British patent GB-189405284 show a sliding locking collar on the handle, and a slightly different handle form which together make the thing a bit more plausible. |
