Description: |
A left- and right-hand threaded screw adjusts the jaws. The strain against the jaws is supported by the body of the ratchet head. The irregular shaped opening in the ratchet head defines a series of pre-determined sizes for the jaw openings. The jaws are attached to a plate that is not attached to the ratchet head. If the jaws are adjusted to "full closed", and the plate rotated so the jaws align with the widest portion of the opening in the ratchet head, the jaws and plate can be removed for repair or replacement. The operation of the ratchet pawls is typical. |
