Description: |
This double jawed wrench is shown as an axle nut wrench with the main jaws clamped on the axle nut, and the secondary jaws clamped to the outer hub band. This would clamp the axle nut and wheel together. The wrench would also work with a locking nut which was the subject of a parallel patent (no. 284,013). Holmes received a third patent on this date (no. 284,014}) for a moth catcher for bee-hives. |
