Description:
The curved swinging jaw also serves as the clamp that holds the movable jaw. The sliding wedge provides the final fine adjustment. The curved spring holds the curved jaw in clamping position.

Corresponding Canadian patent no. CA-53,344 was issued August 27, 1896; the patent is a reprise of British patent no. GB-189410761 registered June 2, 1894.
