Description: |
The handle swings on a pivot, and has a spur which can abut or swing away from the base of the adjusting knurl. A compression spring tends to keep the handle in the "engaged" position. The adjusting knurl has a spring which tends to push it and the movable jaw toward the "closed" position. With the swinging handle pulled away from the adjusting knurl, back pressure on the movable jaw will slide the jaw and adjusting knurl "open." This arrangement allows for a ratchet-like action. |
