Description:

The handle and jaws are similar to Bessolo's August 27, 1912 patent (no. 1,037,109). In this patent, the link from the handle to the jaw is solid rather than a spring pawl.

The gripping jaws reappear in the pipe wrench form in Bessolo's Oct. 26, 1915 patent (no. 1,158,164).
