Description: |
The wrench is an ellipsoid block of cast or malleable iron, with square or hexagonal recesses arranged on the surface corresponding to various standard nut sizes. The holes extending to the center are to accommodate bolts that extend beyond the nuts, or for rods used as auxiliary handles.
The wrench could also be used as a handle for various bits designed to work with it. The drawing shows a screwdriver bit as one example. |
