Description: |
End portion of the handle is separate, with internal threads toward one end and the remainder hollow with the internal diameter matching the diameter of the main handle shank. The overall length of the handle thus varies depending how the end is screwed on to the main handle shank.
The exterior design on the end portion of the handle matches the handle design in design patent no. D108,159.
Blackhawk used the extendable handle principle on the ratchet for a 7/16" drive size set. Its markings include this patent number, along with 2,520,652 for an improved version.
Mandl had given his name as Sigmund on earlier patents.
