Description:
This axle nut wrench would clamp the nut to wheel, so the wheel would be used to remove and replace the nut.

The cross bar could be made of wood or other resilient material; the leather straps are to attach to the wheel spokes.

Ken Cope's "American Wrench Makers 1830-1930" claims Robinson produced the wrench.
