Description: |
The wrench or handle coordinates with a self-closing valve or faucet of the type used on oil and gasoline bulk transfer tanks. The wrench head is round, with a square opening corresponding to the shaft which operates the valve mechanism. The handle is hinged to the head, and has a lug that interlocks with the faucet body to hold the valve in the "open" position. The wrench was subsequently modified, and the modified version is the subject of patent no. 1,998,914 issued April 23, 1935. |
