Description: |
| A spring connects the back side of the handle and swinging hook jaw of this self-adjusting pipe wrench. The spring inserts in a cavity in the back of the hook jaw. The cavity is covered by a cap plate to exclude dirt.
The patent is noted in Arthur Upton's June 20, 1893 patent (no. 499,765). |
