Description:
The patent describes the blank and processes used to form a hollow handle. Used in conjunction with pat. no. 295,016 in forming the hollow handle of a pocket wrench.

"Jeralds" has been read as "Jeralde" in some sources. Wrenches marked CAPITOL PAT MAR. 11, 84 FEB. 16, 86 appear to correspond to a listing in American Bicycle Company catalogs.

Jerralds and Lawton secured another hollow handle forming patent (no. 341,915) on May 18, 1886.
