The shank has an offset to put the center of the "T" handle in line with the center of the ratcheting socket. The ratchet is reversible.
This patent has been associated with the SUCCESS cylinder tooth wrench as produced by the PARSONS BAND FEEDER & SELF FEEDER CO. (Later MAYTAG ) of Newton, IA. This form appears in SUCCESS ads as late as July 1902. Later ads for SUCCESS show a form conforming to patent no. 711,422 granted to C.E. Greenlief of Newton, IA on Oct. 14, 1902. |
