Description: |
There are pairs of alternately-directed toothed wheels. Thumb screws near the bases of the pawls can be screwed in to disengage the pawls from the rack teeth. One of each socket pair has a shank with a square section; the other socket of each pair has a corresponding square opening and a set-screw to hold the socket pair together.
The inventor's last name appears as Cossette in parallel Canadian patent CA-33,434 and U.S. improvement patent 481,690. |
