Description: |
The idea is to sharpen the blade with bevels on both sides: one straight across as is usual, and the other on a bias. When mounted so the cut is parallel to the axis of the cutter-head, the diagonal cutting edge produces a shearing action. The inventor recommends using several short knives rather than one long knife so as to maximize the shearing action. A good idea, but it makes blade changes a nightmare. |
