Description: |
Our invention is made with special reference to the grinding of scissors with uniformity in the angle of the cutting-edge, and that by a portable apparatus, adapted to use upon a sewing-machine, at the place "Where the bobbin-winder is usually applied, so as .to' be driven by the belt 'that leads to the main shaft and fly-wheel.
We employ a swinging rest, upon which the scissors blade is to lie, so as to adjust the angle at which the cutting-hedge is to be ground,, by moving the .said rest by means of screws, and this rest is upon a movable bed, and combined with a revolving grinding-wheel.
