Description: |
The tool combines a rule, screwdriver, glass cutter and breakers, and tweezers. The glass breaker notches were incorporated into Woodward's glass cutters. See also patent no. 166,954.
Woodward "steel wheel" glass cutters were eventually made under the RED DEVIL brand. Smith and Hemenway bought Woodward's Hill, NH factory and product line. Landon P. Smith kept the "Red Devil" glazier's tools after Smith and Hemenway was sold, and RED DEVIL traces its history to the Woodward tool. |
