Stan Schulz Ronson Alligator composite (FLICKR)
|
Description: |
The design incorporates several wrench sizes and styles, screwdriver, thread cleaning dies, and bottle opener. Advertising for the tool claimed eleven features including leaf spring oiler (the groove from the "eye" to the "nose"), spark plug wrench, tire valve rethreader, etc. The file shown in the patent drawing is not present, and the layout of the wrench and die openings also vary from the drawing. Early production includes the alligator figure stamped on one side, with "Ronson Alligator Patented" and the opening sizes stamped on the back side. Late production is smooth with a red and black paint finish. |
